THE MISFITS

The Misfits, by author James Howe, is a novel about four kids in the seventh grade that call themselves the gang of five and their struggle to get through middle school without being

called names and being abused.

There are four kids Bobby the chubby one, Skeezie the cool and slick one, Addie the determined one and Joe the happy I don't care about what you say gay one. In there school they have a Democratic and Republican Party and they wont to make a third party. later they decide to call it the no-name party. They try to make it so no one gets teased, called names or picked on.

It's a funny, meaningful book that is slow but interesting and it really shows how it might be if you had there problems of being picked on or teased.

I agree with the author with the idea of the No-Name Party because  I think that schools should have a day were no one gets teased or bullied.

I think the book would of  been better if the author made it more exciting and have them get into fights with bullies so readers won't get bored like me. But other than, that I think the book was pretty good.

This book really made me feel like I was in a school were I was a misfit who gets teased and bullied. The author really knows how it must feels in school being a misfit.
